Job Description

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Production Engineer. She/he will prepare detailed development designs for approval and issue to the Survey Department.

Essential Duties:

  • Implement standards for the Technical Services Department and be accountable for the standards being met for all outputs
  • Be involved in the budget preparation activities within the team and be accountable for the timely delivery of the outputs required
  • Prepare 12 months rolling forecast, 3 month rolling plan and be accountable for the accuracy and completeness of that plan
  • Liaise with the Engineers to identify issues with the 3 month rolling plan and make corrections
  • Prepare and issue mine designs and Stope Notes in a timely manner and be accountable for the accuracy of the information and the sign off prior to final issue
  • Actively participate in SafeDril and SafeCheck process

Required Skills or Experience

  • A first degree plus 8 years' experience covering all underground mining engineering disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of Mine 2-4D, EPS and Vulcan programs

The Role: 
A high-level position reporting to the MD, the role will provide technical services in the context of the Sisili-Kulpawn Project in Northern Ghana while liaising between SADA and other stakeholders in the field of irrigation and water conservation practices.

  • He or she will be required to review and finalize general technical procedures, Terms of Reference and methodology for the Project design and implementation. 
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will provide technical guidance, and support the integration of acceptable standards for environmental and social aspects in the Project design and throughout implementation. 

Duty Station: The successful candidate will be initially stationed in Accra but will eventually relocate to Northern Ghana.

Required Skills or Experience

A mid-career person with an advanced university degree in a relevant field for irrigation work (hydrology, water conservation, watershed management, dam design, etc.) 

  • A minimum of 8 years consistent professional specialization in irrigation planning
  •  Deep-seated knowledge of the country (particularly Northern Ghana) and its irrigation sector
  • Demonstrated competencies at both policy and field implementation level  Must be able and willing to travel frequently to Northern Ghana
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and the ability to engender cooperation from diverse constituents
  •  Ability to communicate in local dialects.

Job Description

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that HES procedures and practices meet regulatory and legal compliance

  • Ensure regular and periodic reporting of accurate HSE incidents to management
  • Conduct Mock Drill s and implement corrective actions for prevention
  • Co-ordinate and ensure regular revision and updating of Geodrill Health Safety and Environment policies and procedures and SOPs and ensure they are maintained
  • Conduct periodic audit and institute loss and accident prevention systems in place
  • Carry out other duties as necessary and assigned by supervisor

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of Diploma in Health and Safety certificate
  • Experience in Mining and Extractive industry practices will be an added advantage
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams and work within team environment
  • First Aid training
  • Risk Assessment, management and Loss prevention Experience
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Occupational Health and Safety practice
    • Knowledge of MS office suite
  • Must possess valid driving licence

Job Description

Purpose:
To assist with the development of the company's engineering apprenticeship and workplace training programs by providing inputs and feedbacks to the engineering manager and stakeholders.

Roles:

Required Skills or Experience

  • First Degree or HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position in the mining industry
  • Willingness to share wisdom and knowledge gained from personal experience.

  • Computer literate, outlook, word, excels and power point.
