JOB SUMMARY | Company: | Samdoe Limited | Industry: | Construction | Category: | Engineering | Location: | Ghana | Job Status: | Temp | Salary: | GH¢ | Education: | Certificate | Experience: | 3 years | Job Expires: | 31 Oct, 2012 | Responsibilities: The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Identify potential breakdowns and conduct maintenance to all electrical equipment on site to limit downtime of equipment
- Attend to reported breakdowns
- Inspect new electrical installations to adhere to SABS standards
- Installs, repairs, and maintain circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions
Please note these are TEMPORARY position for the duration of a construction project. Required Skills or Experience Relevant qualification, certificates and experience as industrial electrician and HT cable termination on mining and construction projects. - Electrician trade test certificate and/or 3-5 years industry specific experience
- Background in the electrical contracting industry will be an added advantage
Work Experience: - 2 years practical experience as an electrician in the mining/construction industry
- Proven knowledge of wiring code of practice
Aptitude and Behavioural Competencies: - Must be energetic, self motivated and a hard worker
- Able to work without constant supervision
- Punctual, reliable and have sober habits
- Strong physical and mental ability essential
- Team player
- Good communication skills
