Louis Dreyfus Commodities is owned approximately 80% by the Louis Dreyfus Group with the balance held by employees.   JOB SUMMARY Company: Louis Dreyfus Commodities Industry: Commodities Trading Category: Accounting/Auditing Location: Tema Job Status: Full-time Salary: 1,000 GHS net Education: HND Experience: 5 years Job Expires: 19 Feb, 2013 Contact: Managing Director Job Description The Accountant is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the CFO.  Main responsabilities:  Reconciles and maintains balance sheet accounts Responsible for all accounts receivables and payables Ensure accuracy of invoices and verifies purchase orders for supplies and equipment. Conducts actual inventory count on monthly basis to ensure control, security and quality of inventory. Raises and post payroll and other journals in line with Company's procedure Performs bank reconciliation of Company's accounts and treasury functions Maintains a register of fixed assets and prepares a monthly depreciation schedule. Any other duties that may be assigned by the Accounts Manager and Financial Controller.  Required Skills or Experience Requisite Qualifications and Experience: HND in Accounting Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (over and above national service) in accounting. Experience with multinational companies is preferable Requisite skills :  Proficient in Microsoft office packages and other computerized accounting software. Excellent financial and analytical skills. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, control standards and the reporting requirements of multinational companies considered to be an asset.
