Job Description

Genser is looking for a chemical engineer (preferably with HND background as well) to join the new business development team and design and develop power plants, with a heavy focus on the design and implementation of a gas treating system. The responsibilities will include:

  • v  Working with other engineers from Genser and the client to design gasification systems, pumps, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), as well as desulfurization and incineration equipment

    v 
    Working with a team of chemical technicians to install sensitive equipment such as pipes, pumps, etc.

    v  Ensuring all equipment works well and according to plans

    v  Working with Genser management to perform preventive maintenance on the equipment

Required Skills or Experience

Ideal candidates are chemical engineer majors from KNUST with a background in HND. Candidates must have worked on the national grid before. Candidates must also demonstrate strong work ethic and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment. The qualifications should include at a minimum:

v  Have a technical degree from a reputable technical institution in chemical engineering

v  Have 1 to 3 years of experience working in energy related fields or related fields

v  Familiarity with gasification systems

v  High level of computer literacy

v  Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

v  Be able to write and speak English (fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese a plus)

v  Ability to think ahead and plan over a certain period

v   Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

v  Commitment to Company values

v  High performance teams and a strong team player

Location
The position will be based in Chirano, in the Western Region of Ghana.

Job Description

The job holder will work under the supervision of the Head of Finance to ensure an efficient financial management of the Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate accounting records and controls including processing of vouchers
  • Write cheques and passing of requisite entries
  • Process inputs into the accounting software using the Accpac Programme
