JOB SUMMARY Company: Gold Fields Industry: Mining Category: Engineering Location: Damang Job Status: Full-time Salary: GH¢  Education: Tertiary Experience: 8 years Job Expires: 20 Mar, 2013 Job Description Department: Engineering Purpose of the Job: AGL is seeking to employ a supervisor for its HME Support Services who will ensure that effective management of HME Support equipment and dewatering pumps are under controlled operational cost and safe conditions, for high equipment availability and performance, increased productivity, equipment reliability and operational profitability. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring the achievement of high equipment availability and reliability within industry standards Ensuring that dewatering pumps, light vehicles and other ancillary equipment are maintained and positioned in line with operational requirements and objectives Coordinating, managing and directing the activities of the maintenance support service team Implementing effective cost management and financial performance monitoring systems Establishing and maintaining high performance and cohesive teamwork Maintaining a safe and friendly environment Ensuring that effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements Ensuring that staff are effectively trained, developed, and supervised Developing and implementing effective maintenance standards and procedures Required Skills or Experience A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Support Equipment Maintenance Leadership in managing the service teams including light vehicles, cranes, dewatering pumps other anciliary equipment maintenance function of a medium to large company Experienced in safe lifting practices Interpersonal skills Customer orientated Communication and negotiation skills Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, as well as the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures Medical fitness for the position and environment It will be advantageous if applicants have: Have resided in a camp environment A related post graduate qualification and/or relevant business qualification How To Apply Interested applicants should submit a detailed curriculum vitae to: Email: Damang.Adverts@Goldfields.com.gh   Search for Other Jobs Here
