The core responsibility of the Head of Bancassurance unit is to manage the BBG Retail Bancassurance Proposition comprising both Life and General Insurance products and services and own business (credit-life insurance). He is also responsible for embedding an insurance selling culture to actively grow the policy file size. Key Accountabilities: Formulate overall strategy for BBG Bancassurance proposition across all personal lines insurance products, customer proposition, channel development, roll-out and staging 'Own" the BBG Bancassurance Income and P&L targets - together with the bancassurance product managers for each class of insurance business Participating in and Negotiation the pricing/premium structure for all bancassurance products and services Key interface with both Life and General Insurance partners as well as industry associations Ensure the holding of and attend all monthly and quarterly partnership council and review meetings with both Life and General Insurance companies respectively Develop best practice models of processes and procedures for deploying market-leading bancassurance standalone policy sales  Review the bancassurance strategy and performance and take appropriate remedial action to assist all involved in the process to achieve the desired performance Responsible for taking the final decision on look, feel and content of all customer communication regarding bancassurance product (i.e. welcome and fulfillment packs, policy wordings, advertising copy, renewal letters, etc) Ensure that reconciliation is carried out rigorously to avoid income leakage with payment of commission for insurer Proven track record of managing sales performance and achieving targets  Required Skills or Experience Essential Requirements: Relevant professional qualification (first degree in insurance, accounting, finance, business or related fields; ACCA) Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment Proven track record of high performance in previous roles Over 5 years Insurance and Banking (Financial) industries experience Experience of working in a multinational, multi-segment, environment with matrix reporting Experience of leading a team How To Apply To apply, please visit Barclays Careers website at: www.barclaysafricajobs.com Barclays Bank of Ghana Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer Search for Other Jobs Here
