Job Description

Job Function:
To safeguard the bank's information assets by directing and supporting IT department in the protection of its information resources from disclosure, modification, destruction, usage or transfer, whether intentional or unintentional through the implementation of appropriate information security policies, procedures and guidelines.

Task Elements include:

  • Recommend and maintain internal security policies and procedures that provide for the security of information technology facilities, software, equipment, and the integrity and security of the bank's automated information
  • Maintain security and confidentiality over issurance and proper maintenance of authorized user ID's and passwords and to maintain valid and current user list
  • Reviewing access rights and logs peridically and suggesting preventive actions as required
  • Reviewing and monitoring the security incidents within the bank
  • Ensuring that all data possessed by or used by a particular staff has a designated owner
  • Assist in the acquisition of security software and equipment to meet the bank's needs
  • Co-ordinate with internal auditors in automated information system planning, development, implementation, operations, and modifications relative to security
  • Maintain security and confidentiality over issurance and proper maintenance of authorised user ID's and passwords and to maintain valid and current user lists
  • Advise on Information Security Training Awareness programmes to bank's personnel and management

Required Skills or Experience

Required Experience and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification working experience within the banking industry preferably in a similar position
  • Hardworking and customer focused, results-oriented, excellent managerial skills, accurate and fast worker, good interpersonal and communication skills, team player, change orientation skills

Qualification:

  • Degree in ICT
  • HND in ICT or its equivalent
  • Must have a wide range of experience in computer networking and other relevant functions

Age Limit: 25 to 40 years

Project Summary:
IPA Ghana seeks a survey team to work on the "COPA-Connect Smallholder Program" (CCSP) project. COPA-Connect Smallholder Program aims to link small farmers into the agricultural value chain by offering them out-grower contract. The evaluation of COPA-Connect Smallholder Program provides an unparalleled opportunity to study the multifaceted links among agriculture, health, education, and economic outcomes. 

 Auditor:
The Auditor will be responsible for conducting back checks. In particular, the Auditor will;

  • Audit surveys of all field staff;
  • Scrutinize completed surveys;
  • Administer interviews to research participants chosen by the IPA Project Managers, or as directed by them;
  • Adhere to all IPA survey protocols;
  • Contact the IPA Team Leader at any time with questions or concerns;
  • Promptly respond to contact from the IPA Project Managers, Field Managers, Team Leaders, or other IPA staff;
  • Perform other duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Economics, marketing, or any related field
  • Good computer skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to walk/travel
  • Fluency in any of the local languages (Ga-Dangme, Ewe) is preferred
