We are a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold. JOB SUMMARY Company: Perseus Mining Ghana Industry: Mining Category: Engineering Location: Ayanfuri Job Status: Full-time Salary: GH¢  Education: BSc Experience: 10 years Job Expires: 14 Sep, 2012 Job Description Responsibilities: The successful person will report to the Process Superintendent and will perform the following responsibilities: Lead site initiatives to improve the understanding of processing operations safety Take responsibility with senior operations staff for ensuring that installations are maintained across the Edikan Gold Mine Lead efforts to ensure that effective controls are in place for isolation and safe systems of work Monitor the plant performance to achieve set operating targets Develop training and development matrics for all shift Supervisor positions Develop training and development plans for all Process Operators Develop Short Term (daily/weekly) operating plans with supervisors Co-ordinate the handover of relevant shift change information Provide input from an operations perspective into process plant improvement modifications Remuneration: Attractive conditions of service will be offered Required Skills or Experience Minimum of BSc. Met.
